Students to receive classes at relief camps

Bengaluru: The Department of Public Instruction has identified students of government schools staying in 41 relief centres and has planned to start taking classes for them.
The district administration has asked the teachers to take up classes in relief camps, said Walter Demello, deputy director, Department of Public Instruction, Kodagu.
He assured there was no dearth of funds for the repair works, which would begin after the situation returned to normal in the district and the buildings would be thoroughly checked by the school authorities later to ensure the safety of children.
Demello said that a he has requested the public instructions to dispatch textbooks for classes 1 to 10th. He said that uniforms will be distributed afresh to all the affected children once the situation returns to normal.
