Mangaluru: The Subrahmanya Gram Panchayat authorities made over 200 devotees clean up trash during Padayatra to Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala
It is said that the Gram Panchayat PDO Muthappa received information regarding tourists, mostly devotees from Keralapura in Hassan were on their way to Dharmasthala
Their resting point was Basaveshwara temple and after breakfast, the area was filled with trash. A team including Yuva brigade and panchayat officials visited the spot and made them clean up the trash.
Muthppa said that from next year they will deploy home guards on the route and a panchayat vehicle will be deployed in the area to collect waste
