Subrahmanya Gram Panchayat member goes missing

Subrahmanya: A woman member of the Subrahmanya Gram Panchayat has gone missing, a police complaint said.

The missing person has been identified as Bharati Mookamal (33), wife of Shashikanth of Mookamale house of Ainekidu village.

Her husband, in a complaint registered at Subrahmanya Police station, said that Bharati has been missing since October 29.

According to the complaint, Bharati left the house on October 29. She did not return after leaving the house. Her mobile phone was also unreachable. She was untraceable even after inquiring about her whereabouts with her friend and relatives, the complaint added.

Police meanwhile have taken up the investigation.
