Subrahmanya: A MESCOM lineman was electrocuted to death on Friday at Balpada Pade near Subrahmanya of Kadaba Taluk.
The deceased has been identified as Raghu S R (32) a native of Holenarasipura Sigaranahalli in Hassan district. He was deployed as a Powerman in Balpa under the Panja section of MESCOM.
It is gathered that an electric pole was being repaired when the incident occurred. Raghu had climbed the pole for repair where he was electrocuted.
Police and Mescom officials have visited the incident site and are investigating.
