A group of individuals allegedly assaulted a youth for allegedly messaging a female student belonging to another community.
The injured youth, identified as Niyaz, is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.
According to sources, a group of young men confronted Niyaz after discovering that he had been messaging a female student from the area. The situation escalated into violence, resulting in Niyaz being assaulted.
A case has been registered at the Subrahmanya police station, and investigations are underway.
