Sullia: An owner of a small hotel called Hotel Nidheesh in Sullia had been trying his luck with the lottery for the last four years. And this time, when he least expected, his dream has come true.
The 51-year-old owner of the small eatery Sudhama B Maniyani has become a millionaire overnight after winning a bumper lottery of Rs 4 crore through the Kerala State Lottery.
While on a visit to Kasaragod on March 1st, Sudhama bought three Kerala State Lottery tickets of Summer Bumper Draw at the cost of Rs 150 each. But, he soon forgot of the tickets, since he never expected to win anything, let alone the jackpot, says Mr Maniyani.
But later, he got news that someone from Sullia had won the bumper prize and curious to find out whom, he checked the results and to his shock, he was the winner bearing the number SB 131399.
Sudhama is originally from Kasaragod but has been living in Kanthamangala in Sullia after his parents migrated to here long time ago. After running a small hotel business in Adyanadka village, he opened Hotel Nidheesh about 20 years ago. He is married to Prabhavati and the couple has three children Nidhesh, Sharath and Manvith. Sudhama says that he will be using the money for the education of his three children.
