Sugama Sangeetha Artiste Chandrashekar Kedilaya no more

Renowned Sungama Sangeetha and Gamaka artiste Chandrashekar Kedilaya passed away on Tuesday, January 24. He was 73.

He breathed his last at a private hospital in Bharmavara where he was undergoing treatment for age-related ailments.

Kedilaya presented various light classical music and songs of well-known poets in Gamaka form.

Gamaka is an art form with its origins in Karnataka. Chandrashekar Kedlaya is an expert Gamaka artist i.e. Gamaki.

Kedilaya has served as the lecturer at the Kannada department of Canara High School, Dongarakeri
