Sulibele case: Ramanath Rai asked to attend court

Mangaluru: The court has asked former minister Ramanath Rai to attend the court for the hearing on the case of alleged defamation of Chakravarti Sulibele.

Ramanath Rai had allegedly used abusive language and derogatory words insulting Chakravarti Sulibele, guide of Yuva Brigade in the meeting of Congress workers that was held at Asaigoli on the outskirts of the city when Mr Rai was a minister.

Vice-president of state BJP Minority Morcha, Rahim Uchil had filed a complaint regarding this with the second JMFC court of the city. The complaint has now been received by the court and accordingly, Mr Rai has been asked to present himself for the hearing to be held next month by the court.
