Mangaluru: A Mysuru-bound Airavata bus operated by the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) veered off course near a road bend near Kamadhenu Hotel at Aranthodu in Sullia on Wednesday.

The bus began its journey to Mysuru from Mangaluru on Tuesday evening. When it reached Aranthodu, the man behind the wheel lost control at the sharp bend. The bus ran off-road and hit an electric pole and a tree before coming to a stop.

Due to the impact, the electric pole snapped midway and the trees also fell on the road. Luckily, nobody lost their lives in the accident.

It is gathered that Tuesday being a weekday, there were only a few passengers on the bus.
