Sullia: Bus runs over retired teacher killing her on the spot

Sullia: A woman lost her life on the spot after she was hit by a bus at Vidyanagar old gate in Sullia town along Mani – Mysuru national highway on Saturday evening. The deceased has been identified as retired teacher Meenakshi.
Meenakshi had accompanied her husband Hariprasad to her husband’s house at Mandekolu Boluga for some ritual and was returning back when the accident occurred at Vidyanagar old gate. The victim had alighted from the vehicle and was in the process of crossing the road when the government bus proceeding from Peicharu towards Sullia hit her with full force which claimed her life on the spot.
The deceased had retired from her profession as a teacher from Ayyanakatte School 5 years ago. She has also given her service as a teacher at Shantinagar and Koyikuli schools in Sulia taluk.
The deceased is survived by her husband, two daughters and a son.
