Sullia: Father hospitalized after being assaulted by son commits suicide

Sullia: Lakshman Gowda a resident of Bandyadadka in Kasargod committed suicide by jumping from the hospital building.

He was admitted to the KVJ Hospital here after been beaten by his son with bamboo sticks.

Gowda jumped from the hospital on the night of December 18 after his son-in-law had left to bring him dinner.

A seriously injured Gowda died without responding to treatment.

A case of suicide has been registered in the Sullia police station.

It was reported that Gowda might have committed suicide depressed by his son’s mental illness.
