Sullia: Forest watcher dies on duty after collapsing at check-post

Sullia: A forest watcher collapsed and passed away while on duty at the Jalsoor Forest Check-Post in Sullia Taluk on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Sadashiva Gowda (58), a resident of Mudiyaru in Kudumajalu village, Delampady. He is survived by his wife and son.
The incident occurred during his night shift at the check-post. Gowda reportedly collapsed early in the morning. Colleagues immediately rushed him to the government hospital in Sullia, from where he was shifted to a private hospital and later referred to Mangaluru. Unfortunately, he passed away en route.
Gowda had been serving as a forest officer in Jalsoor for the past seven years and was due to retire next year.
