Sullia: The mortal remains of a Bengaluru youth who drowned in the Kumaradhara river on August 21 were recovered on Wednesday, August 24.
The deceased has been identified as Swami Shivu (25), a native of Mandya. He was working in a company in Bengaluru.
Shivu drowned near the bathing ghat of Kukke Subramanya temple.
Expert swimmers, fire service personnel, home guards, Subrahmanya police, revenue officers, local people representatives and locals were relentlessly searching for the body of the youth. His mortal remaims was recovered after four days of search at a distance of 1.5 km from the bathing ghat.
The body has been taken to Mandya after post mortem at Subrahmanya primary health centre.
Subrahmanya police have registered a case in thus regard.
