Sullia: Woman jumps into lake along with her daughter; complaint filed against in-laws

Sullia: A complaint has been filed against three persons in connection with the suicide case of a woman, along with her 3-year-old child at Devachalla village in Sullia Taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Geeta, wife of Dayananda of Talur. She had jumped into the lake with her daughter Poorvika who luckily survived.

Now, Geetha’s mother Pushpavati has filed a complaint against Geetha’s mother-in-law, Seethamma, brother-in-law, Jayaprakash and his wife Nishmita.

It is said that the accused were allegedly harassing Geetha for the past two years.

Further investigations are underway.
