Sullia: A woman drowned in a river in Mapalakaje, Nelluru Kemraje village while trying to save her child. The incident took place on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sangeeta, daughter of Mapalakaje Janardhan Nayak.
Sangeeta was trying to save her child who fell into the river. But as she did not know how to swim, both Sangeeta and her child drowned in the river.
