Actor Suniel Shetty who was heavily trolled after his tweet on the ongoing farmer protests, said that social media behavior suffocates him.

Shetty’s tweet following Rihanna and Greta Thunberg’s tweet about farmers’ protests in India, read, ” We must always take a comprehensive view of things, as there is nothing more dangerous than half truth. #IndiaTogether #IndiaAgainstPropaganda.”

Calling the narrative of  him being against farmers  B***SH*T, Suniel said that he was hurt.

Recalling that his forefathers were farmers, Suniel said that he hails from a small town called Mulki, Mangaluru and that he till today visits Mulki . Moreover I am an Indian, and have depicted that through my movies, said Suniel.

Confirming that he is not affiliated to any political party, Suniel said that he says what he believes in. He said that he has campaigned for friends who are from various political parties, but has never campaigned for a party, its the individuals he has campaigned for.

Talking about being trolled Shetty went on, as he is an actor, he is hammered if he says something and even if he doesn’t he faces consequences. He further questioned as to why his family/ children are threatened on twitter.

Further saying that, social media suffocates him, Suniel asked why so toxic?

Asserting that he has no agenda, Suniel mentioned that there are differences but the same farmer who was being  stopped by the security is also feeding them.
