Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Thursday directed the Bengaluru police to file an affidavit on denying permission to an event in which Bollywood actress Sunny Leone was scheduled to perform.
Justice B Veerappa asked the police to file an affidavit citing the number of clubs in the city that have been granted permission to host New Year events.
The judge demanded an explanation on why the police were discriminating against an individual while granting permissions to other New Year events in the city.
The matter was adjourned to end of day.
Event management company Times Creation had moved the high court after the Karnataka government and Bengaluru police denied permission to hosting New Year’s Eve event ‘Sunny Nights’
