Surathkal: 4 shopkeepers fined for not wearing masks

Surathkal: Health officials from the Mangaluru City Corporation on Thursday, July 31 made surprise inspection in the Surathkal ward and fined Rs 200 each to four shopkeepers for not wearing masks.

The officials also informed that it is mandatory for shopkeepers to wear masks and make sure that their customers are wearing them too and sell items to only those who are wearing masks. The shops must put up boards stating these to the customers.

Ward commissioner Sadashiv Moorthy along with the health officials participated in the inspection.
