Surathkal: When people are still in trauma after BJYM leader Praveen Nettaru’s murder, another incident of attack on a youth by assailants has been reported here on Thursday.

Reportedly, assailants have attacked a youth named Fazil, a resident of Mangalpete, with lethal weapons.

As per the sources, Wazi had been to a chappal shop for purchase. At this point in time, assailants have entered the shop, and attacked with a sword. Wazi has tried to escape but failed to do so. The assailants fled the spot.

He was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital.

The reports suggest that Fazil has suffered heavy blood loss and is in critical condition.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in the Surathkal vicinity and the police are inspecting the CCTV footages.

More details are awaited.
