Mangaluru: MLA Dr Bharath Shetty on Wednesday said that Surathkal Circle would definitely be renamed after Veer Savarkar.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the Surathkal junction development at the cost of Rs 5 crore.
Bharat Shetty said all formalities had been cleared at the corporation level to rename the circle after Veer Savarkar.
In reference to toll fees, he stated that people are aware of who implemented the toll tax under the UPA government.
He claimed that the toll gate protesters were confident that the toll gates would be merged in February and that the protests were staged only for that purpose.
The previous government’s sewage system had failed within three months and the MLA should apologize to the public. When Roshan Baig was the Urban development minister, he demanded a Lokayukta investigation into the sewage construction issue, he added.
Dr. Bharath Shetty stated that the Honnakatte and Kottara junctions were developing well and that the Surathkal junction and bus stand would be completed within the next few months.
