Surathkal deadly attack: Injured youth succumbs to injuries

Surathkal: A youth who was attacked by assailants here on July 28 has succumbed to injuries.

Reportedly, assailants attacked a youth named Fazil, a resident of Mangalpete, with lethal weapons.

As per the sources, Fazil had been to a chappal shop for purchase. At this point in time, assailants entered the shop, attacked with a sword. Fazil tried to escape but failed to do so. The assailants fled the spot.

He was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital but died after he stopped responding to the treatment.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in the Surathkal vicinity and the police are inspecting the CCTV footages.
