Surathkal: Labourer dies after compound wall collapses

Surathkal: A labourer tragically died after a compound wall collapsed during work on a stormwater drain at Krishnapura 6th Block here on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Haneef (46), a resident of Bajpe Karambaru.
The wall collapsed as the earth was dug for stormwater drain works. Haneef, who was trapped under the debris, was immediately pulled out by other workers and rushed to a hospital. He however breathed his last without responding to treatment.
A case has been registered at Surathkal police station.
