Surathkal: A 34-year-old man has been arrested for a viral video clip insulting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar.
The arrested is identified as Anil Kumar, a native of Uttara Karnataka who has been residing in a rented house at Kana in Surathkal for the last 12 years. Kumar works as a driver.
It is gathered that his application for a ration card was pending for over three months owing to technical issues. Frustrated over this, Anil recorded a video insulting the Chief Minister and others and posted it online, which soon went viral.
A complaint in this regard was lodged by Congress activist Suhan Alva at Surathkal police station.
