Surathkal: Thieves attempt ATM robbery using JCB, flee as alarm goes off

Mangaluru: Unidentified thieves attempted to rob money from an ATM by using a JCB machine. The incident took place at the South Indian Bank branch in Surathkal on Friday, August 4.
The thieves however fled the scene once the emergency alarm went off.
Police officials, including DCP Dinesh Kumar, arrived at the scene for investigation. A dog squad also reached the scene to sniff out any clues.
Police suspect that the thieves used a JCB, which was reported stolen from under Padubidri police station limits to execute the robbery. Police are now searching for the JCB.
