Surathkal: The police machinery is allegedly being used to detract the protests at the NITK toll gate scheduled for October 18.
Sources said that last night, police personnel reportedly went to the leaders behind the struggle to vacate the toll gate on the National Highway. Police allegedly told them to sign an undertaking and a Rs 2 lakh bond that the struggle will be dropped.
It is said that the leaders behind the struggle have also been reportedly instructed to present themselves to the police commissioner’s office in Mangaluru on Sunday.
