Surathkal: A young man was saved from drowning at sea at the beach here.
A group of 6 boys had come from Puttur to the beach and ventured into the sea even after being warned against it by the locals.
One among them was caught in the waves and was carried away.
Two local men jumped into the sea to save him. The washed away boy was clinging to a dredger stuck at the sea.
The two saviours have been recognised as Shriyan and Suman.
