Suratkal: Youth stabs mosque staff over petty issue

A local youth named Tahir allegedly stabbed Mohammed Shafi, the secretary of the Tazuli Jumma mosque administrative committee in Suratkal near Janata Colony.

The altercation reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over switching off lights in the mosque.

Following the incident, Mohammed Shafi was promptly admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru for medical treatment.

A  case has been registered.
