Suspected Honour Killing: Five Arrested Including Father of Deceased in Nanjangud

Mysuru: In a suspected honour killing case at Parvathipura in Nanjangud taluk of Mysuru, HD Kote police have arrested five accused including father of the deceased girl on Sunday. The arrested five accused allegedly murdered their family member, Jyothi in an honour killing case.
The police nabbed the five after a missing complaint filed by her husband Krishna after his wife, Jyothi was found missing for three months. The five accused include, Jyothi’ s father Guru Siddegowda, mother Mahadevamma and her relatives Kiran, Mahesh and Rame Gowda.
Parvathipura based Krishna and 19 year old Jyothi were in a love affair. Nearly 90 days earlier, the couple tried to flee from their home town. Unfortunately, the duo caught by her father and other four accused when they were on their way to escape from their native place. Meanwhile, the boy was managed to escape from the hands of the accused. However, later the girl, Jyothi was reportedly killed by her father for marrying Krishna.
Krishna filed a complaint at local police station as Jyothi found missing after they tried to escape from the Parvathipura nearly 3 moths earlier. Based on the complaint, the police arrested five accused in connection with the missing, alleged murder case.
