Suspecting COVID-19 infection, Bantwal man commits suicide to save family

Bantwal: Fearing that he may have contracted coronavirus, a 56-year-old man hanged himself at his residence on Friday, March 27 early morning.
The deceased, Sadashiva Shetty, a Bantwal resident was working at a petrol bunk.
As per sources, he feared that he might have contact with coronavirus infected people during his course of work.Panicking that he would spread the virus to his family, he decided to end his life for their safety.
Bantwal rural police registered a case.
