Suspended from class, 17-yr-old student hangs self

Mangaluru: In a tragic incident a 17-year-old student of a reputed PU college in Kodialbail committed suicide by hanging self at his residence on Monday, September 24.

The deceased has been identified as Navil Saldanha Fernandes, a native of Goa. He was residing in an apartment near Urva Chilimbi Malaraya temple here. 

Reportedly it is gathered that he had been suspended from the college after he was caught chatting with a classmate during the lectures and it is felt that this may have led him to take the extreme step.

Urva police have registered a case in this regard.
