Suspicious satellite phone calls made from forest areas, investigation underway, says Bommai

Hubballi: Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday informed that the police are investigating the case of suspicious calls made from a satellite phone.
Addressing presspersons before heading towards his assembly constituency, Shiggaon, he said, “Suspicious calls from satellite phone were made from thick forests of Belagavi, Uttar Kannada and Dakshin Kannada districts. The investigation is underway, I will reveal more information on this at the earliest.”
When questioned on the allegations of vendetta politics behind the arrest of senior Congress leader DK Shivakumar, he said it was an old case and the probe agencies have taken this step after thorough investigations.
