Swachh Survekshan 2019: Ullal municipality at 7th position in the state

Mangaluru: Ullal municipality has secured the seventh position in the state in the Swachh Survekshan 2019 under the urban development department of the union government for local bodies with less than one lakh and thereby Dakshina Kannada district to the first position.

Swachh Survekshan 2019 survey, which was conducted on the national level in four phases was made of 5,000 total points. Ullal municipality secured 1,037 of 1,250 points in direct inspection, 369 of 1,250 in service phase progress, 838 of 1,250 in people’s opinion and 150 of 1,250 for honesty Thus the total points achieved by Ullal municipality was 2,393.

In this way, of the 1,118 city local bodies in the south zone Ullal municipality achieved the 41st position and 7th position of the 253 local bodies in the state, informed Vani V Alva, municipal commissioner, Ullal municipality.
