Swamiji withdraws protest over Panchamasali reservation issue after CM BSY’s assurance

Bengaluru: Jaya Mritunjaya Swamiji has announced that in view of the assurance from Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on submitting a report on providing Category 2A reservation for the Panchamasaali community within 6 months he is temporarily withdrawing his agitation.
Minister BC Patil and MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal officially requested the Swamiji to withdraw his protest after Yediyurappa stated his assurance in the house.
Speaking on the issue, MLA Yatnal said, “We have requested CM for a comprehensive reservation. We appealed that all sub-communities be included in the reservation. An order has been passed for the report to be prepared within six months. I have already congratulated the CM.”
