T. Mohandas Pai Skill Development Institute to be inaugurated at MGM college on Jan 13

Udupi: The MGM College Board of Trustees will be dedicating the “T. Mohandas Pai Skill Development Institute” at the college on January 13.
An Evening College, a dream of the newly appointed president of the Board of Trustees T Satish U Pai, started functioning on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav for facilitating the students of underprivileged backgrounds who could not continue their education as day boarders.
Realizing the need for skill-development training for the modern-day youth, the college has decided to establish the T. Mohandas Pai Skill Development Institute. The institute has already enrolled students in digital skills training through a collaboration with Manipal Digital Systems.
The institute will be formally inaugurated by T Satish U Pai on January 13 at 11 am. During the program, an event to congratulate the newly appointed president of MGM College Board of Trustees will also be held, a release from the college said.
Chairman of the Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG) Dr. Ranjan Pai, pro-Chancellor of MAHE Dr. H. S. Ballal, founder of Alva’s Education Foundation Dr. M Mohan Alva, members of the board of trustees Vasanthi R Pai, and T Ashok Pai among others will participate int eh event.
