T R Suresh back as city police commissioner

Mangaluru: T R Suresh has been transferred back to Mangaluru as the city police commissioner, as per the official order dated June 8th.
On April 16 this year, T.R. Suresh was transferred as per the directions of the Election Commisson. He had taken charge as commissioner of Mangaluru city in June 2017.
With the transfer of Vipul Kumar, who served as police commissioner of Mangaluru city during the assembly elections during May, culmination of the election process and the new government taking charge of the state, officials have been transferred back to the posts they held prior to the elections.
An MBA graduate from the University of Mysore, Suresh was inducted into IPS in 2003 after serving in various positions in the police force since 1991. He served as In-charge Superintendent of Police in Kodagu and then as Superintendent of Police in Bagalkot, Raichur and Tumakuru. He has bagged the coveted President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service during the Republic Day celebrations held on January 26, 2018.
