Tamil actor, comedian Bonda Mani passes away

Renowned Tamil comedian Bonda Mani passed away on December 23  at the age of 60.

He had been battling kidney-related health issues for a long time. Reportedly, Mani fainted at his residence in Pozhichalur, Chennai, and was rushed to the government hospital in Chrompet, where he was pronounced deceased.

According to media reports, his mortal remains are currently being kept at his residence in Pozhichalur to allow for homage. The final rites are scheduled to be held around 5 PM at a crematorium in Chrompet. He leaves behind his wife Malathi, a son, and a daughter.

Bonda Mani was a well-known figure in the Tamil film industry, often teaming up with Vadivelu in comedy sequences. With an extensive career, he appeared in more than 270 Tamil films alongside prominent actors.

In 2022, actors Dhanush and Vijay Sethupathi extended financial support of Rs 1 lakh each for Bonda Mani’s medical treatment. Vadivelu, his long-time collaborator in the entertainment industry, also assisted him financially during his treatment.
