Tanker driver found dead within the tanker

Uppinangady: The driver of a tanker which was transporting tar along NH 75 has been found dead within the tanker at Kempuhole located along Bengaluru-Mangaluru highway.
On Friday morning at around 11 am, a driver of another truck belonging to the same company, who was on his way from Hosur to Mangaluru saw the truck halted near Maranahalli around 10 km from Kempuhole. Curious, he stopped his vehicle and approached the parked tanker with the aim to speak with the driver, but he did not find the driver. Hence, he searched around for the driver in the vicinity of the vehicle and later in his search opened the top hatch of the tanker only to find the corpse f the driver within the tanker. He immediately informed Sakleshpur police station.
Police inspector and circle inspector rushed to the spot, inspected the corpse and no injury marks were found on it. A case has been registered mentioning the fact that the corpse was found under suspicious circumstances.
The deceased is identified as Nagaraj (37), son of Nataraj, a resident of Tiruchi in Tamil Nadu. The case has been registered based on the complaint given by Tyagraj, the driver of the other tanker. The investigation will be conducted after the receiving the autopsy report, it is informed.
