Mangaluru: Normal flight operations were affected for a while at Mangaluru International Airport on Sunday due to technical snags.
According to a communique from the airport authorities, some technical issues with the runway lighting system were noticed at around 7.45 pm and flights to and from Mangaluru (IXE) were affected.
IndiGo flight from Mumbai (6E5188) was diverted to Kannur. The departure of Air India Express flight to Bahrain (IX789) was put on hold until the issue was resolved. Incoming flights from Chennai and Bengaluru were also delayed.
The flight operations resumed after the engineering team rectified the issue at around 9.30 pm.
