A 17-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by jumping to death from the 23rd floor of a residential complex in Bengaluru’s Konanakunte on Sunday night.

As per a TNIE report, the boy took the step at around 3.15 am when his relatives were asleep. He had sent a video message to a few of his friends before taking the drastic step. The security guard of the apartment heard a thud and upon investigating found the boy lying lifeless.

In the video, he said that he has no personal issues in life but had to depart as there was no other option.

The message was noticed by his friends the next day and tried contacting him.

The boy’s father told the police that he had no health or academic issues.

A case of unnatural death has been registered and an investigation is underway.
