Teenage student gang-raped in Vijayapura

Vijaypura: A student of 10th grade was allegedly gang raped at Nagabenal village in the taluk on Tuesday.
The public caught one of the accused and handed him over to the police. The rest of the accused have escaped and are absconding.
The victim was admitted to the hospital after the incident. The lady doctor at the Vijayapura district hospital said that the girl is recovering at present.
The police have revealed that the incident took place when the girl was on her way to school through a banana plantation. The accused raped her there and have escaped the spot.
The police are in search of the absconding suspects. A case has been registered at the police station. Further investigation is in progress.
