Teenager from Channapatna drowns at Malpe beach

Udupi: A teenager who ventured into the water at Malpe beach drowned on Saturday July 13. The deceased is identified as Deepak (19) of Channapatna.
The deceased was one among a group of 13 youths who had come on an excursion to Madikeri and Udupi. Despite the warnings of police and lifeguard staff, the youths ventured out into the sea which ultimately led to the tragedy.
“It was difficult to find the body as the sea was rough,” inform sources from Malpe police station.
