Telugu filmmaker K Vasu passes away

Hyderabad: Renowned filmmaker K Vasu passed away at the age of 72. He had been hospitalized for a kidney-related ailment and breathed his last at KIMS Hospitals in Hyderabad.
Vasu had a successful career in the 80s and 90s, directing notable films like ‘Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mahatyam’ and ‘Ayyappa Swamy Mahatyam’. He was famous for directing Chiranjeevi’s debut film ‘Pranam Khareedu’ in 1978.
He also directed several films featuring Chiranjeevi, including ‘Thodu Dongalu’ and ‘Allullu Osthunaru’. Vasu’s mortal remains will be taken to his residence in Film Nagar and the final rites will be performed at Mahaprasthanam.
