Temple bullock kills devotee

Bajpe: A man was severely injured after a bullock (basava) he was taking care of at Nagabrahma Shastra Balavandi temple at Perara Kinnimajalu went berserk attacked him with its horns. The victim later succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased is identified as Balakrishna Shetty (52) of Perar.

The victim was taking care of the bullock since a year and as per usual, he visited the bullock to give it fodder on Friday when the bullock turned its horns on to the devotee inflicting grievous head injury.

The seriously injured Balakrishna was admitted at a hospital where he failed to respond to the given treatment and breathed his last.

Bajpe police have registered a case in this connection.
