Karkala: A young man was killed when the Tempo Traveller (TT) carrying students on a tour crashed on a difficult ghat section.
The deceased has been identified as Hemant (24) from Dharwad.
The accident occurred on the hilly section of Kudremukh-Mala highway, near SK Border, and check post on May 8 evening.
It is gathered that the students were on their way to Udupi on a tour when the mishap occurred.
Several others were injured and are being treated at the Karkala Government Hospital.
