Tension prevails in Bagalkot as people with travel history to TJ show COVID-19 symptoms

Bagalkot: The People who traveled from Bagalkot to Tablighi Jamaat religious gathering in Ahmedabad, have shown symptoms of COVID-19, however, the test has come negative and they have been quarantined.
As per sources, Out of all the Jamaat attendees, 29 people are from Mudhol and 12 people are residents of Bannahatti. Even though the report came negative, they have been quarantined as they have shown symptoms of COVID-19.
Around 8 Badami residents of the district who traveled to Rajasthan’s Ajmir have tested positive for COVID-19. It is learned that interstate travel is the source of infection in most cases.
The District administration has opposed adding the 8 members who traveled to Ajmer from adding them to the COVID-19 list of the district.
District Administration has said that they don’t have information on the 8 people who traveled from Bagalkot to Ajmer in Rajasthan and requested the government to not to add them to Bagalkot’s list of infected people.
The current tally of COVID-19 patients in Bagalkot stands at 51 and if they add 8 people who traveled to Ajmer it would be 59.
