Theft: Woman loses gold chain worth Rs. 9 lakhs, probe initiated

Gangavati: A theft case has been reported from the Gangavati Central Bus Stand on Thursday, August 25, where a woman lost an 18 tola gold chain worth Rs. 9 lakhs.

The victim is Nagaratna Gopalshetty Hulihaidar.

The incident took place when Nagaratna with her son was boarding a KSRTC bus departing to Hulihaidar village of Bagalkot district.

On checking her bag, she found her gold chain to be missing. By that time, the culprits had fled the spot.

Later, on the same bus, she reached the nearby police station and filed a complaint.

Alerted by this, the police reached the spot, checked the CCTV footage, and are currently probing the matter.
