A series of accidents involving a tipper truck caused a traffic snarl near Parijatha Hotel on the Hunsemakki-Halady road under Hombady Mandadi Gram Panchayat on November 12.
The tipper truck, moving at high speed from Hunsemakki towards Thekkatte, first collided with an oncoming Eicher vehicle. It then crashed into a Hyundai Santro Xing and dragged it along before hitting a pickup truck coming from the opposite direction from Koteshwar towards Bidkalkatte.
The pickup truck veered off the road and fell into a roadside drain due to the impact of the collision. While the accident resulted in severe damage to both the cars and the pickup truck, fortunately, no lives were lost. CCTV footage from a nearby hotel captured the entire incident.
Due to the series of collisions, a temporary traffic jam was caused on the main road. Local traffic police arrived at the scene and facilitated smooth vehicular movement. Kota police registered a case.
