Thief targeting Kukke temple hundis nabbed

Subrahmanya: A youth who was stealing money from hundis of the Kukke Subrahmanya temple was arrested by the police on Friday. The accused is identified as Ashwin Gowda J P,19, a resident of Tiptur in Tumakuru district.
The youth had come to the temple in the guise of a devotee and then stole money from the hundi. However, his misadventure was noticed by a security personnel. A thorough checking of the footage captured by the CC cameras installed at the temple premises revealed the youth stealing cash from several other hundis.
A case in this connection has been registered at Subrahmanya police station. The youth has been remanded to judicial custody.
