Uppinangady: Thieves break into house, steal gold ornaments worth Rs 2.50 lakh

Miscreants forcefully entered a residence in Nekkiladi village and made off with gold jewelry worth Rs 2.50 lakh.
The unfortunate incident unfolded while the house owner Sheela was tending to her ailing husband at a nearby hospital, assisted by her daughter.
Seizing this opportunity, the culprits unlawfully entered her house during her absence. Upon Sheela’s return later in the day, she found that the thieves had managed to pry open the cupboard and abscond with gold ornaments weighing eight and a half pavan, valued at over Rs 2.50 lakh.
