Thieves break into used car showroom; Rs 15 lakh worth of goods stolen

In a brazen act of burglary, a gang of thieves targeted a used car showroom owned by Abdi Ahmed Suralpady late night on Wednesday, July 12.

The incident, captured on the showroom’s CCTV cameras, unfolded as the criminals forcefully broke open the front glass door to gain access.

Once inside, the audacious thieves proceeded to ransack the entire office, making off with valuable items and the keys to two vehicles. The stolen cars include a Maruti Swift with an estimated value of Rs six lakh and a Hyundai Creta valued at approximately Rs nine lakh In addition to the vehicles, the perpetrators also seized a laptop, printer, mobile phone, and crucial RC documents related to the cars.

Authorities estimate the total value of the stolen goods to be Rs 15 lakh.  The entire incident, from the break-in to the thieves’ escape, was caught on the showroom’s CCTV system, providing crucial evidence for the investigation.
